Nursery school open house

COLCHESTER- Colchester Cooperative Nursery School will hold an Open House and enrollment for the 2012-2013 school year Saturday, March 10, at 9 a.m. at the school, located in Day Hall, at 80 Main Street. Teachers and members of the school’s executive board will be on hand to answer questions. Parents and children are welcome to attend. CCNS offers a 3-year old program and a 4-year old program. To attend the school, children must be be 3 by Dec. 31 and be toilet trained. A copy of the child’s birth certificate, proof of residency and a $75 registration fee will be required for enrollment. All are also welcome to visit the school’s Scholastic Book Fair, where pre-school age books can be purchased. CCNS, founded in 1967, is a non-profit, non-denominational nursery school, fully licensed by the state of Connecticut. CCNS welcomes any family that wants to be actively involved in his or her child’s education; parents are expected to work in the classroom four or more times a year, serve on a school committee, participate in school cleaning and fundraising.
