Assessment appeals

FRANKLIN- The Franklin Board of Assessment Appeals will hold sessions during the month of March for taxpayers who wish to appeal the 2011 assessments on their real estate, personal property, or supplemental motor vehicle taxes. Appeals must be received by Feb. 20 in writing, and then applicants will be notified by March 1 of their hearing date and time. All hearings are by appointment only. Appeal forms are available at the Office of the Assessor at the Franklin Town Hall, located at 7 Meeting House Hill Road. The Assessor has office hours on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and on Tuesday evenings from 6-8 p.m. For more information, call the Office of the Assessor at 860-642-6475, ext. 19.
