2012 spring plant sale

A choice selection of trees, shrubs, perennials, and edibles, most native to Connecticut will be available at the spring plant show. Also, evergreen and deciduous tree seedlings, and CT compost. All proceeds will benefit the North Central Conservation District, a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing environmental assistance. Orders are due April 5 for April 20-21 pick-up at the Tolland County Agricultural Center, 24 Hyde Ave. in Vernon, or at the 4-H Education Center at Auerfarm, 158 Auerfarm Road, Bloomfield. Additional items will be for sale on pick-up days. Several free spring workshops are also being offered, including Planting and Pruning Basics, Native Landscaping, Pruning Storm Damaged Trees, Wildlife Landscaping, and more.
