Men's softball league

NORWICH- The Norwich Recreation Department is seeking teams to participate in this year’s Men’s Softball League. A.S.A. rules will govern the operation of this league with the exception of local rules. A fee of $950 is required to participate in the league. The total amount collected will be used for league expenses. Expenses include umpires, scorebooks, balls (Gold Dot), scorer, supervisor, trophies, and prize money. The entry fee is due in full by April 16. To be eligible to play in the league all players must be 18 years of age or have had their high school class graduate during the season. Rosters will be submitted to the recreation director by the first game. Teams will be able to add/delete to the roster until June 4. Rosters will be final as of June 7th. Once a player has played for a team he is not eligible to play for another team. At no time can a team use more than 22 different players. Games are played at Ouellet Park with games scheduled for 6:15 p.m., 7:15 p.m., and 8:15 p.m. on weekdays. Please contact the Recreation Department at 860-823-3791 if there are any questions.
