EAST HAMPTON- Since the late 1940’s students from East Hampton have traveled to Washington D.C. during their senior year. This annual senior class trip has always been recognized as one of the most important educational experiences provided for the students of East Hampton High School. The history and legislative structure of our democracy, studied in social studies courses, have real significance when students visit Washington, D. C. Photographs from 1962 to the present are on display in the hallway for everyone to admire. The school district is interested in displaying Washington D. C. class pictures from the late 1940’s to 1961. Within the last week photographs have been received from 1950, 1955, and 1959. If you have one or know of someone that has a picture from the late 1940’s to 1961, please contact Kevin Reich at 860-365-4000. The school district would like to be able to make a copy and display it at the high school next to those presently on display.
