Eastern Connecticut Health Network (ECHN) will hold three events during April and May. An ECHN Community Tag Sale & Bake Sale will take place on April 21 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., at Manchester Memorial Hospital’s parking garage, corner of Haynes and Turkington Streets. There will be toys, clothing, and furniture items, as well as baked goods. All proceeds from this event will be donated to the ECHN Bike Connect Nursing Scholarship Fund and the Registered Nurse Clinical Ladder Program. This event will be held rain or shine. A free Skin Cancer Screening will be held on May 1, from 2 to 7 p.m., at the Manchester Memorial Hospital’s Ambulatory Services Center on Guard Street. The program is intended for individuals who have not been seen by a dermatologist within the past 12 months. Uninsured and underinsured are encouraged to register. Screenings will be performed in a private setting by dermatologists Donna Aiudi, MD; Laurie Bain, MD; Laura Benedetto, DO; Robert Greenberg, MD; and Janet Wong, MD. Registration/appointment is required by calling 860-647-4740. Get up close and personal with the da Vinci Robotic Surgical System. Learn about the benefits of robotic surgery from our physicians and staff and then take a turn controlling the robot yourself. Join ECHN for this informative and interactive Open House, Robotic Surgery: Experience the Thrill, on May 17 from 4 to 7 p.m., in the main lobby of Manchester Memorial Hospital, 71 Haynes St. Light refreshments will be served. Free parking is located across the street from the hospital’s main entrance. Bring the whole family.
