The Connecticut Department of Transportation is launching a week-long focus on greener modes of commuting with CTrides Week taking place May 14-18. For at least one day during this special week, drivers are invited to take advantage of various ride-sharing options in exchange to driving alone. Options across the state include express and local buses, two rail lines, a statewide vanpool system, access to carpool-matching services, and telecommuting assistance. The goal of CTrides Week is to get residents thinking about different ways to commute that can help reduce traffic congestion, improve the state’s air quality, and potentially save drivers time and money. Visit ctrides.com/week for more information.
