Tablet and smartphone workshop, raffle

The Union Free Public Library will sponsor a tablet and smartphone workshop on June 1 at 7 p.m. in the Town Room, located at the lower level of the Union Town Hall, 1043 Buckley Highway in Union. Learn about "apps" and about tablet and smartphone capabilities. In conjunction the UFPL is holding a technical raffle fundraiser. Prizes include a Nook Color e-reader and Barnes and Noble gift card; and a Verizon gift card and mobile accessory package. Raffle tickets are currently available to purchase at the Union Free Public Library, 979 Buckley Highway, Union. Tickets cost $1 each or $10 for 12 tickets. The winning tickets will be drawn at the workshop, winner need not be present. Table workshop participants will each receive one free raffle ticket on June 1.
