'Herland' and 'The Yellow Wallpaper'

Stafford Arts Commission will present a new event, "Herland," on June 3 from noon to 6 p.m. at the Ben Muzio Townhouse in Stafford Springs. In case of rain, events will be moved to Memorial Hall. The festival will be a day that features female musicians. A variety of female vendors will also participate. Vendors are still being accepted. For more information call 860-684-9500. Admission is $10 per adult and $7 per student/senior. Tickets can be purchased by calling 860-684-9500 or at the Millpond Country Store. In conjunction, on June 2 at 8 p.m., the Commission will present a reading of "The Yellow Wallpaper," written by Charlotte Perkins Gilman, who also wrote "Herland," for which the June 3 is named.
