Parks and Recreation programs, trips

The East Hartford Parks and Recreation Department is now able to accept program registrations on line. Many programs will be available through on-line registration. However, some programs will still require registration at the office. Go to www.easthartfordct.gov. Call the Parks & Recreation office at 860-291-7160 for your user name and password. There will be a 3 percent convenience fee charged for using credit cards. Parks and Recreation is accepting applications for part-time summer park maintenance staff. Applicants must be 18 years of age. Applications are available at the Parks and Recreation Department office located at 50 Chapman Place and online at www.easthartfordct.gov. Parks and Recreation is offering several trips, including tall ships on July 1; Perkins Cove Aug. 11; NASCAR Loudon Sept. 23; Radio City Christmas show Nov. 10; and Macy's parade Nov. 22. Several trips to major league baseball games are being offered. Stop by, call or visit the website for details. Summer camps are also available.
