Grant given for expansion

MARLBOROUGH- The Hartford Foundation for Public Giving has awarded a $33,000 grant to the Marlborough Arts Center for expansion of its overflow parking lot, improvements in lighting for safety purposes, and acquisition of a storage shed. The Hartford Foundation for Public Giving is the community foundation for the 29-town Greater Hartford region and is dedicated to improving the quality of life for area residents. The Marlborough Arts Center, located in a restored historic community building at 231 North Main Street in Marlborough is administered by a board of directors and dedicated volunteers. It is a non-profit regional center for the fine arts, performing arts, and fine crafts. Its mission is to foster creativity, appreciation, and enjoyment of the arts through exhibitions, performances and educational programs.
