Superintendent to retire

COLCHESTER- The Colchester Board of Education announces the acceptance of a formal notice of retirement of longtime Superintendent Karen Loiselle Goodwin, and the appointment of Jeffry Mathieu, current principal of Bacon Academy, as the District’s next Superintendent. At a Special Meeting of the Board held recently, Superintendent Loiselle Goodwin informed the Board that she has decided to retire as of Dec. 31, 2012. Loiselle Goodwin has been Superintendent in Colchester since 2005. Prior to that, she served the District as Curriculum Director and Principal of what was then known as the Colchester Intermediate School. Jeffry Mathieu, successor to Loiselle Goodwin, has been with the District since 1992 and has been Principal of Bacon Academy since 1999.
