Artists' call

Planning is under way for the Stafford Arts Commission’s annual “Autumn in the Park - Fine Arts Festival" on Sept. 22 in Hyde Park, Stafford Springs. The Commission invites local and regional artists and full time art students to submit samples of their work for juried selection by a panel of Commission members. The wide range of media categories include: painting, photography, drawing, glass, ceramic, sculpture, wood, metal, fiber and jewelry. Over the last seven years, the caliber and range of exhibiting artists has been encouraging and the Commission is confidant that the 2012 festival will continue with this standard of quality. The application fee is $35 or $20 for full time students. Exhibitors will share with the festival’s performing artists and enjoy a day dedicated to creativity and artistic endeavors.
