Health survey

Norwich - posted Jul, 24 2012

NORWICH – The William W. Backus Hospital has begun a phone survey as part of its next Community Health Needs Assessment that includes focus groups and interviews with community leaders. Information gathered will be used to prioritize needs in eastern Connecticut and create an action plan for health improvement. The 100-question survey is being done in partnership with United Community & Family Services and Uncas Health District, and will include all towns in New London and Windham counties. Holleran, a Pennsylvania research firm, will conduct the survey. If you have caller ID, the number may show up as a 717 area code. The questions are designed to determine locations in eastern Connecticut that are healthier than others, and compare eastern Connecticut to the state and nation. If you miss a call or do not receive one, residents of New London and Windham Counties who want to participate can call 1-800-218-6468.
