Commemoration participants, artifacts needed

The Preston Historical Society is looking for former Norwich State Hospital employees, relatives or friends that may have artifacts from the former state hospital that would be interested in showcasing them for an upcoming event to honor the history of The Norwich State Hospital. This commemorative event will be held on Sept. 8 at the Preston Veteran's Memorial School, 325 Route 165, Preston, at 1 p.m. To contribute artifacts or other items or memories of the hospital for this event, contact either Linda Christensen of the Preston Historical Society at 860-887-5828 or Christine Rockledge at 860-502-0428.
