The Willimantic Orchestra has openings in its 2012-2013 season for violin, viola, cello, bass, oboe, and mallet percussion. Qualified players of all ages are welcome. This orchestral experience is of particular value to music students (performance and music education). The Willimantic Orchestra is a not-for-profit community orchestra dedicated to performing authentic orchestral repertoire at its three or four concerts per season. Its season runs from the first Thursday in September through the last Sunday in April. The orchestra will rehearse on Thursday evenings from 7-9 p.m. at Shafter Auditorium, Eastern Connecticut State University, 83 Windham St., Willimantic. First rehearsal will be on Sept. 6.
