Young people's chorus

COLCHESTER- The St. Andrew Young People's Choir and Orchestra will begin their new season Wednesday Sept. 5, 5:45-6:45 p.m. in the St. Andrew Parish Hall, 128 Norwich Ave, Colchester. The young people's choir is open to all children ages 4-High School. There are several musical opportunities within the choir: the St. Andrew Guitar group (with guitar instruction from guitar teacher Patrice Ashburner Smith), the St. Andrew Orchestra (directed by music educator Wallis Johnson, for any instrumentalists that wish to play with the choir) the Bel Canto Choir ( a singing group directed by Harrt school music professor Donna Menhart) and the Treble Choir (also directed by Harrt school professor Donna Menhart, for 5th-8th grade students) This year, the choir is also offering free monthly vocal workshops,for all members. Although Sept. 5 was the first rehearsal, new members are welcome to join throughout the year.
