SOUTH WINDSOR- The South Windsor Public Library offers the follwoing upcoming programs. Call 860-644-5404 for registration and additional information. Bouncing Babies- Friday mornings at 9:30 and 10:30 am (beginning Sept. 21). This program is for children ages 6 months to 24 months with a caring adult. We'll present 15 minutes of stories, rhymes and music focusing on pre-literacy skills, followed by 45 minutes of free play. Family Stories: Saturday mornings at 10 am, (beginning Sept. 8) children 3 and up and at least one adult member of their family may drop in for 1/2 hour of stories and fun at the South Windsor Public Library. Terrific Twos Learn the Alphabet!: Monday mornings at 10 a.m. beginning Sept. 17. This program is for children ages 24-36 months with a caring adult. We'll be focusing on a different letter at every session using stories, rhymes, songs and more. Reading Round-Up: Children ages 3-5 are invited to join us on Tuesday mornings (beginning Sept. 18) at 10 a.m. Reading readiness will be encouraged through a variety of books, songs, activities and crafts. Tuesday Tales: Tuesday afternoon at 2 p.m. for 4-5 year olds. (Beginning Sept. 18) Stories, activities and maybe a craft. Our guest readers will be Bonnie Gearin and Debbie McAloney. Registration is necessary. If you are a Pokemon trainer, this club's for you! Our next meeting will be Thursday, Sept. 6 at 7 p.m. Bring your cards for trading or battling another trainer. No registration is necessary; all ages are welcome. LEGO® Club: This club is for children ages 5 and up and requires no registration. We'll meet on Saturday, Sept. 15 at 2 p.m.. You may bring your own LEGO® bricks or use the library's. Whatever you create is put on display in the library until the next meeting (if you want to display it). This club is not affiliated with or sponsored by LEGO®. 2nd Saturday Matinee: On the 2nd Saturday of each month (Sept. 8) at 2 p.m. the library will present a "G" rated movie for family entertainment. Snacks will be provided, or you may bring your own. No registration is necessary.
