Somers - posted Aug, 31 2012

SOMERS- The Somers Historical Society Museum will open Saturday, Sept. 8 from 10 a.m.-12:30 p.m. The exhibits at the Somers Historical Museum look into the past and include military uniforms, army boots, Boy Scout bugle, Somersville Mfg. Co. material, clothing, and ephemera. Through the years, the residents have collected items related to the history of Somers and kindly donated them to the Somers Historical Society, Inc. Through the efforts of many society members, the items are recorded, and put on display. The history of Somers is not lost in the “mists of time” or the basement of old houses. It is available for everyone to see at the Somers Historical Museum. There is no admission charge. The public is welcome.
