Special Ed PTO

WILLINGTON - The Sept. 12 meeting of Success Special Education PTO will feature appearances by state Rep. Bryan Hurlburt and Willington First Selectman Christina B. Mailhos. Kevin Daly, chair of the Connecticut SEPTO Alliance, will present the "Spirit of SEPTO Award" to state Rep. Hurlburt for his support of Special Education PTO. A presentation about parental rights in special education will follow. The public is welcome to attend. The meeting will be held at the Willington Public Library, 7 Ruby Road in Willington and begins at 6:30 p.m. Refreshments will be served. Success Special Education PTO is a support group for parents and families in Willington, Tolland, Stafford, Ashford, Mansfield and surrounding areas. The group meets monthly at the Willington Public Library. Meetings regularly feature speakers and presentations on topics of interest to parents of children with disabilities. The schedule of meetings is posted at successsepto.org. Kevin Daly is chair of the Connecticut Special Education PTO Alliance, which is a statewide council of Special Education PTO groups.
