Food drive

South Windsor - posted Sep, 27 2012

The South Windsor Food Bank is in need of non-perishable items. The shelves are empty of some of the essentials such as: tuna, soup, and macaroni and cheese. Other items that are needed are: snacks for kids, cereal and oatmeal, juice and canned fruit, rice, jar spaghetti sauce, canned pastas such as ravioli and spaghettios, and peanut butter and jelly. Sixty South Windsor families, including older adults, use the food bank monthly. To donate, drop off items to the Human Services Department located at the Charles N. Enes Community Center, 150 Nevers Road. For more information call 860-648-6361.
