Scarecrow contest

A scarecrow contest will be held at the Ellington Farmers Market on Sept. 29. Cash prizes of $50, $25 and $10 will be awarded to the person whose scarecrow receives the most votes by market customers. Bring your scarecrow to the market and set it up in the big gazebo at 9 a.m. Winners will be announced at 11:45 a.m. Multiple entries will be allowed.
