Scrap fundraiser

Windsor Locks Women's Club is holding scrapping events at Hyatt House, 200 Corporate Drive, Windsor, from 6:30 to 11 p.m., $10, on Oct. 5 , Nov. 2, Dec. 7. Proceeds will help defray the costs of the 2013 South Elementary School fifth-grade class trip to Camp Jewell, Colebrook, Conn. In addition, at its Oct. 5 scrap meeting, they will collect for the Homes for the Brave the GFWC/CT 2 year state project. They will take donations of a new solid colored twin size blanket or comfortor. Each item donated gives you a chance in a drawing for an over night stay at the Hyatt. Cash donations are welcome, a cash donation of $20 will also give you a chance in the drawing for an overnight stay at the Hyatt. The cash will be used to purchase more blankets/comfortors.
