WOODSTOCK- The Woodstock Board of Education (BOE) has announced that the first of two community forums has been scheduled for Wednesday, Oct. 10 from 7 – 8:30 p.m. in the Woodstock Middle School cafeteria on Route 169. Treasurer Barbara Rich, Board of Finance Chair Dave Hosmer, Superintendent Dr. Francis Baran, and various representatives of the Board of Education will present an overview of the annual budgeting process. The community is invited to ask questions, offer budget-related suggestions at this early stage, and enjoy complimentary refreshments and childcare. Citizens wishing to submit questions prior to the forum are urged to email woodstockschools@woodstockschools.net. The community forum concept springs from the BOE Community Participation subcommittee, which seeks to enhance and expand communication between the community and the BOE.
