Headquarters open

The Coventry Democrats will officially open their headquarters at 1209 Main Street on Saturday, Sept. in celebration of the town’s 300th anniversary on parade day. Residents are invited to an open house between 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. to meet candidates, state dignitaries, and town committee members, as well as to enjoy refreshments. Those interested will have the opportunity to volunteer for assignments during the campaign. The Coventry Democrats will be working to elect President Barack Obama, Christopher Murphy for U.S. Senate, Joe Courtney for U.S. Congress, Susan Eastwood for State Senate in the 35th District, John Murphy for State Representative in the 8th District, and Marjorie Roach for Registrar of Voters.
