'CROP' hunger walk

St. Mary's Episcopal Church will hold the Communities Responding to Overcome Poverty (CROP) Hunger Walk on Oct. 21 at 1:15 p.m. The public is invited to join families and individuals from Manchester and surrounding towns who will be walking in the Manchester CROP Hunger Walk in support of the efforts of MACC Charities and Church World Service to overcome hunger and poverty in our community and throughout the world. CROP walks are an initiative of Church World Service, a cooperative interfaith ministry working to eradicate hunger and poverty and promote justice and peace globally. The walks are community-wide events organized by local volunteers. Funds raised from the walk will benefit both MACC Charities and Church World Service. The walk will begin at 1:15 p.m. at St. Bridget Church, 80 Main St., Manchester and will include both a short route to the MACC Charities food pantry at 466 Main St. and back, and a long route to South United Methodist Church at 1208 Main St. and back.
