A new evening book discussion group will meet at Kent Memorial Library on the third Thursday of each month starting on Oct. 18 at 7p.m. The first book to be discussed will be "The Elegance of the Hedgehog," by Muriel Barbery. The library will have copies of the book available. Call 860-668-3896 for more information. The Friends of Kent Memorial Library will sponsor a three-session class for adults on contemporary art. What is it? Why is it important? Who collects it and why? The classes will be held on three consecutive Thursdays starting on Oct. 30. Call the library at 860-668-3896 for more information.
