Help light the holidays

EAST HADDAM- East Haddam Community Lions invite the public to help them “LIGHT-UP” the holidays. All civic-minded individuals/groups to donate a decorated holiday tree, wreath, exhibit or gift for auction. Many of us civic organizations and individuals write a check during the holidays … Let us show our Holiday Spirit and generosity and creativity and share it with this community. All proceeds from this community-wide fund raiser will go to The East Haddam Fuel Bank, Food Bank and Youth and Family Services. The donated items will be exhibited in Rathbun Free Memorial Library, from Nov. 26 to Dec. 7 during this time advertising and a catalogue will be distributed. A silent auction will take place (viewers can bid on exhibits anytime during this period). Once again we will host a Holiday Reception on Friday Dec. 7 from 7-9 p.m. (everyone welcome) where final bids will take place. All donations will be acknowledged in the program and again on signage where exhibits are displayed. Decorated themes may say something about you or your group, but this would be up to your own creativity.
