Sponsor a family

COLCHESTER- The Colchester Rotary Club will be delivering Thanksgiving baskets to about 175 families this year. Local residents have the opportunity to sponsor a family by donating a minimum of $40 to the Rotary Club Thanksgiving basket fund. A basket consists of a turkey, all the fixings, a pie, and an assortment of cooking supplies. Recipients of the food baskets are determined by the Town of Colchester Social Services Department and names are kept confidential. Residents who contribute as family sponsors will have their names printed in a thank you notice in local papers or may choose to remain anonymous but they will not know which families are receiving baskets. Tax deductible contributions can be made by check payable to “Colchester Rotary” and mailed to Colchester Rotary, PO Box 775, Colchester, CT 06415. Any amount will be appreciated and Liberty Bank will match 25 percent of every dollar donated to the Thanksgiving fund.
