Bone marrow donor drive
Hebron - posted Nov, 02 2012
HEBRON- On Saturday Nov. 17 from 8:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m., a DKMS bone marrow donor drive will be held at Tae San Taekwondo & Yoga 111 Main St., Hebron. Dawn Lesinski, co-owner of Tae San was a bone marrow donor in the spring of 2012, and now hopes to encourage others to do the sign up as potential donors. Bone marrow donors must be between the ages of 18 and 55 and in good general health. Sometimes these requirements mean a person can not donate, or people have other reasons that they can not be a donor. There are other ways that people can help. It costs DKMS $65 to register each potential donor, they do not require donors to pay nor do they receive government funding. Monetary donations are a great way to contribute and help DKMS save more lives. Online monetary donations and more information can be found at www.GetSwabbed.org. In this season of giving, Lesinski and her family hope you will join them and DKMS as they try to give patients around the world something to be thankful for; a second chance at life. Those who are unable to attend can go to www.GetSwabbed.org to register.
