Fundraiser for hurricane victims

On Nov. 17 from 9 a.m. to noon at Pond House Grille, 2935 Main St., Glastonbury, an all-in-one fundraising event for the victims of Hurricane Sandy will be held, when non-perishable food items, toiletries, baby items, clothing and winter coats will be collected, as well as food and items for pets. There will be a 50/50 raffle and other raffles, $10 entry fee for the raffle room, entry includes five tickets with an option to buy more at the door, $2 per additional ticket or $20 per arm’s length. Buy your tickets ahead of time and get five free tickets. There will be a bake sale. Small and large business owners are asked to donate a gift certificate or gift baskets from their trade to raffle off.
