Donation drive for hurricane victims

The town of Enfield has set up s drop-off centers for donations to help the victims of Sandy at Thompsonville Fire Department, 11 Pearl St., Enfield. New items that are in great need are blankets, comforters, sheets in all sizes, including children's. Bath towels, hand towels, wash cloths, kitchen towels, dish cloths and pot holders, as well as mittens, gloves, hats and scarves are also needed. Toiletries needed include feminine items, toilet paper, diapers and baby items. Non-perishable groceries and baby food are needed. Over the counter medicines such as pain relievers, cough medicine and children’s medicine are needed. So are cleaning supplies. For more information call Gena at 860-698-6563. The town of Enfield will make weekly trips to distribute items. Collection has started and runs through Jan. 31, 2013.
