Holiday homecoming

COLCHESTER- On Saturday, Dec. 1 at 4:30 p.m., all are invited to the Town Green as Colchester welcomes the holiday season with its Holiday Homecoming celebration. Sing a long with the St. Andrew Young People’s Choir. Santa will be arriving via fire truck, and will be available for pictures in the gazebo, so bring your cameras! Judi Ann Jones of Creative Game Parties/Dancin' with Hoops will be providing interactive Hoop Dancing entertainment for all ages and a LED hoop performance. Hoops will be provided for everyone to use. The Historical Society will open Old Bacon Academy for you to browse and see the rich history of Colchester. Complimentary cookies and refreshments for all, a toasty warm bon fire, a food drive from the Colchester Lions, and a toy collection by the Colchester Police department will be featured. This year many local businesses will once again have special evening hours to welcome in the season. An ice sculptor will have a live demonstration In addition, the 2012 commemorative ornament will be available for $5 each at the Holiday Homecoming. The Colchester Civic Orchestra and Choir will close the event at the Colchester Federated Church from 6-7 p.m. with a free family-friendly concert featuring lots of holiday favorites.
