The Vernon Community Arts Center (VCAC) is inviting everyone to come out and support over 70 local and regional artists who will be displaying fine hand crafted items including, jewelry, pottery, notecards, pins, woodworking, soaps, ornaments, textiles, and other gift items all priced under $100. Live wreaths will also be for sale and the proceeds will benefit Tri County ARC. Fine art work and quality prints will be for sale and exhibited in the gallery. Dec. 15 and 16 will have free kids craft which will be provided in a classroom along with hot chocolate and treats in the gallery. The Rockville High School Choir will perform Saturday at 2 p.m. and the Vernon Chorale will perform Sunday at 1 p.m. All festivities are free but in the spirit of the season donations of canned and boxed food are requested to benefit the local food pantry at the HVCC. Food will be collected until Dec. 23. This show will run Dec. 8 - 23. The VCAC is located at 709 Hartford Tpke. in Vernon. Hours of operation are Saturday and Sunday 11 a.m.- 4 p.m., Wednesdays noon-4 p.m. and Monday - Friday 4 to 8 p.m. For more information go to www.vernonarts.org.
