Winter farmers' market
Storrs - posted Dec, 06 2012
STORRS- Storrs Winter Farmers Market opened on Dec. 10. The Winter Market will be held inside the Buchanan Auditorium of the Mansfield Public Library on the second and fourth Saturdays of each month from December through April. This year, the Market will be open Dec. 15, and 22. Storrs Farmers Market is the area’s only year-round Market. Because everything sold at the Market is grown and produced locally, the offerings change throughout the year. During the winter months, visitors can expect to find fresh vegetables and fruits, local honey, goats’ milk cheeses, fresh-baked breads and pies, grass-fed beef, and heritage breed pork and lamb. Jams, jellies, honey, maple syrup, beeswax candles, goats’ milk soaps, and hand-spun wool are available all year – and make great gifts! To find out what will be available at each Market, email StorrsFarmersMarket@gmail.com to receive weekly email newsletters. Storrs Farmers Market can also be found on facebook and Twitter (@StorrsFarmers). Storrs Winter Farmers Market will be held indoors in the Buchanan Auditorium of the Mansfield Public Library. The library is located at 54 Warrenville Road (Route 89) in Mansfield Center. Parking is limited, so customers are strongly encouraged to carpool when possible.
