Public works holiday hours

The Vernon Public Works Department will be closed on Dec. 25, in observance of Christmas Day and on Jan. 1, in observance of New Year’s Day. Refuse and recycling will not be collected on those days but instead will be collected the following day on Dec. 26 and on Jan. 2, respectively, along with that day's collection. Excess refuse and recycling may be brought to the Transfer Station free of charge year round on Wednesdays and Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sundays from noon to 4 p.m. The Transfer Station will be closed on Dec. 23 and Dec. 30.
