Winter book discussion

The Library Association of Warehouse Point will hold a Winter Book Discussion at the Warehouse Point Library, beginning Jan. 16. Three contemporary novels and a film will provide a backdrop for the thorny choices individuals must make in the face of a menacing political order. The schedule is: Jan. 16 "The Zookeeper’s Wife," by Dianne Ackerman; Feb. 27 "Stones From the River," by Ursula Hegi; March 20 "The Plot Against America," by Philip Roth and April 17 will be the film, "The Lives of Other," directed by Florian Henckel von Donnersmarck. The programs are led by Marcia Hall at 7 p.m. in the Community Room of the library and are free to the public. Registration is necessary and books may be obtained at the library.
