Farmers' market needs volunteers
Granby - posted Jan, 18 2013
The Granby Farmers Market is getting ready for its second year, with opening day June 25, and is seeking volunteers. The Market Committee is holding its first meeting of the season 6:30 p.m. on Feb. 6 at the Farmington Valley YMCA. This is an informational meeting for those interested in volunteer opportunities. You do not need to be a member of the YMCA to attend, and coming to the meeting does not mean a commitment to the Market. Volunteers can be individual community members, friends and neighbors or come from schools, youth organizations, women’s and men’s groups, civic organizations and businesses. For more information, come to the meeting, or if you are unable to make it, contact Alicia at 860-653-5524, ext. 124, or firstname.lastname@example.org. The Granby Farmers Market will be on Tuesdays from 3 to 6:30 p.m. at the Farmington Valley YMCA, 97 Salmon Brook St., Granby. Opening day is June 25 and the Market will run through Sept. 10.
