LVA fundraiser

Literacy Volunteers of Northern CT is sponsoring the Annual D’Vine Wine & Ale Tasting Event on March 9 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at The Golden Gavel on Route 140 in East Windsor. This event was formally sponsored by The Arc of Greater Enfield. Joe’s Fine Wine & Spirits, the event sponsor, will feature more than 60 wines and 30 specialty ales and beers. A carving station will be staffed by Storrowton Tavern. In addition to imported cheeses, crackers, fresh fruit, desserts and coffee will be served. Music, raffle prizes and a live auction will also be part of the evening. LVA is an organization of volunteers, who provide a variety of services to enable people to achieve personal goals through learning to read and write in English. LVA volunteers, supported by professional staff, serve as tutors, tutor trainers, secretaries, administrators, planners, communicators, and in other functions necessary to the achievement of our Mission to eradicate illiteracy in our community.
