Teach them to be safe

MOODUS- Are your children ready to take on the responsibility to be left home alone? Do they know how to be safe? Do you know how to ready them? On Monday, Feb 4 at 7 p.m., MPAC (Middle School Principals Advisory Council) will be hosting S.H.A.R.P. for Parents, a one-hour program that will provide safety tips to help protect your children while home alone. The program will be held at the Nathan Hale Ray Middle School Library in Moodus. The moderator, Mindy Johnston, is the founder of Safety Education for Youth and Adults (SEYA). She has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing and has been an Emergency Medical Technician and an Auxiliary State Trooper for more than 26 years.
