Walking tour

EAST HAMPTON-The East Hampton Parks and Recreation will sponsor a walking tour of the White Birch Farm (WBF) on Sunday, Feb. 3, at 1 p.m. The farm is located at 183 White Birch Road in East Hampton. The walk is organized by the Chatham Historical Society as part of the “Explore East Hampton” monthly series program. Amy Rader, an experienced horse trainer and rider, will give a tour of the White Birch Farm’s riding facilities that include 18 large permanent stalls, paddock turnout, and a lighted indoor and outdoor riding rings. She is a certified Camp Instructor and has a Show Managers Certificate. She also has a Specialized All Novice Judge credentials. In 2004 she received the Connecticut State Professional Horseman of the year award. Come and learn about what programs are offered to people who interested in horses. The walk is open to adults and children. Please, no dogs. Wear shoes suitable for a barn tour. The tour will take approximately 1 hour. Heavy snow will cancel the tour. After the walk people are invited to visit The Chatham Historical Society's museum complex located at 6 Bevin Boulevard. The museum will be open for tours from 2-4 pm.
