Senior programs

THOMPSON- Thompson Recreation is offering craft classes for area senior citizens (residents and non-residents). All supplies will be provided. The instructor is Karen Butera. The class runs from 10 – 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday mornings in North Grosvenordale. On Feb. 12, the craft will be a Valentine Card and Gift; March 12: an Easter Bunny Straw Hat; April 9: Whimsical Birdcage; and May 14: Memorial Day Table Decoration. The class is free for Thompson Seniors and $5 per class for non-resident seniors. Pre-registration is required by the Friday prior to the class date. Class size is limited and we are unable to accept walk-ins. Register on-line at www.thompsonrec.org, stop by the Recreation office or call 860-923-9440. On-line payment is now available. Ice Cream Socials for seniors are also being held monthly for residents and non-residents. The dates are Wednesday Feb. 20, March 20, April 17, May 15 and June 20 at 12:15 p.m. Please register by the Monday prior to the date you wish to attend.
