Counselor in Training program

COLCHESTER- Colchester Parks & Recreation is now accepting applications for our Counselor in Training program. The CIT program is for youth entering grades 8 & 9 in Fall 2013. This two-year CIT training program is designed to train our future “Super Staff” in the skills needed to be successful young leaders through practical experiences. This year our CIT programs are four weeks each and the program fee is $135. CIT application packet should include your application, a teacher reference and a personal reference. The application packet is available on our website at www.colchesterct.gov/parks under “Forms” and in the WJJMS and BA Guidance offices. The application deadline is April 1, 2013. All applicants are required to attend the CIT selection activity on Tuesday, April 23 from 2:45 – 4:30 p.m. in the Town Hall. Applicants will be notified by email by April 30 and once accepted online registration will be available.
