SALEM- Come, listen to electric violinist Caryn Lin give a performance at the Salem Free Public Library on Saturday, Feb.23 at 2:30 p.m. The concert is free and open to all. The Salem Library is located at 264 Hartford Road (Route 85). A classically-trained violinist who became an electric violinist and education innovator, Caryn finds influence in everything from baroque to rock. Although she thinks of her music as new age/world/classical-ish, Caryn has played everywhere from Lincoln Center to Six Flags; the Kimmel Center to the Crayola Crayon factory; an 800th anniversary of a monestary in the French alps to thousands of kids in school "cafetoriums." As her educational "Bach 2 Rock" show enters its 10th year Caryn is recording her sixth studio album.
