VERNON - On Sunday March 3 at 2 p.m., Vernon Historical Society will present "A Life of the Land: Connecticut's Jewish Farmers," following a short business meeting at the Vernon Historical Society, 734 Hartford Turnpike, Vernon. Historian and author Mary Donohue will present a lively PowerPoint program that will take the audience on a tour of Connecticut's earliest Jewish farming communities, country synagogues and small family resorts. Photos and oral histories will be highlighted. The program is free and open to the public.
