MANCHESTER- On Tuesday, March 12, at 10 a.m., the Genealogy Group of the Manchester Historical Society will host Cathy Grames of Grames Printing, Inc., in Manchester. She will talk about self-publishing a family history and will have examples of her work to show us. Cathy’s firm has produced a variety of self-published family history books. Her talk will be followed by a round table discussion of genealogy topics. The Genealogy Group meets at the Manchester History Center, 175 Pine Street, usually on the second Tuesday of the month. The group consists of members and friends of the Manchester Historical Society, both amateurs and experts, with an interest in genealogical research of our families. The public is invited to attend our meetings, and those who are looking for a research project may speak with the Society’s curator, Dave Smith, who has a list of Manchester families and properties that we would like to have researched. Dianne Bordeaux Lenti, a retired professional genealogist, will speak at the April 9 meeting about listing our source information, an important part of genealogical research. More information about the Genealogy Group is available on the Historical Society’s web site at http://www.manchesterhistory.org/genealogy/MHS3_Genealogy_Home.html
