Public works reminder

VERNON - This is a reminder to Vernon residents to please place refuse and recycling carts to the edge of the snow banks so that the automated trucks can empty them. Placing the carts behind snow banks makes collection difficult and may interrupt service. Remember to place the carts at least three-feet apart and at least three-feet away from a vehicle, a mailbox or a utility pole. For any questions regarding refuse and recycling, please call the Public Works Office at 860-870-3500.
