Special storytime
Enfield - posted Feb, 22 2013
ENFIELD - "Connections: A Storytime for Children with Autism," will begin registration for their spring session on Friday, March 8 at 9 am. Storytimes will be held on Fridays, April 12 and 26, May 10 and 24, and June 14 at 9:30 am. Children and families will make “Connections” with each other, as well as with books and the library. The program will address the needs of children with sensory processing issues by creating a predictable, hands-on storytime designed to engage all of the senses. Renee Coro, music therapist, will join each week. Musical instruments, a sand and water table, and sensory stepping stones will be integrated into the stories, songs, and crafts that make up a typical storytime. For more information, please contact the head of children and teen services at the library at 860-763-7517 or the main library at 860-763-7510.
