Wednesdays at Wood

 SOUTH WINDSOR - Wood Memorial Library has announced their new Wednesday afternoon spring series: On Wednesday, March 20 at 2 p.m., the Stiletto Singers will perform. The Stiletto Singers are a new female theatrical performance company that combines singing, dancing, acting, and comedy, and is topped off with authentic costumes. A reception will follow the presentation. On Wednesday, April 17 at 2 p.m., Trish Chambers appears as Jane Austen in a historical reenactment for an intimate portrait of the woman who wrote some of the most beloved novels of all time. The presentation will cover the realities of English Society at the time of Jane Austen’s life and literary career.  A PowerPoint presentation will be included in this performance with time for a question and answer period. ! A reception will follow the presentation. Register and pay for the two spring programs on or before March 20, the charge is $20 for both programs.  Call the library for group discounts.
