NORWICH- Join State Archaeologist Dr. Nicholas Bellantoni who will discuss Ezra Chamberlin and the CSS Hunley. Upon the discovery of the Confederate submarine Hunley, the dog tags of Ezra Chamberlin from Killingly, were found. The questions are: How did these tags get on the ship? Was he on the sub when it sunk? Was he a traitor or a spy? Visit http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/H._L._Hunley_(submarine) for some background of the Hunley. Please come to the New London County Civil War Round Table meeting on Monday, March 11at 7 p.m. in the Sidney Frank Center Ensemble Room at Norwich Free Academy (Joseph Perkins Road, Norwich.) There is no admission, and everyone is invited. The evening is very informal and light refreshments are served afterward. If you have questions please call 860-887-0271.
